Title of the Position: Program Assistant
Reports to: General Manager of CCEPA
Position Summary: The Program Assistant provides administrative support to the General Manager and Executive Director with respect to the organization and coordination of CCEPA's programming and research activities. The Program Assistant will further assist CBERN staff with the development of blog content, resource collection for the Atlantic Microsite, and the social media program of the Atlantic Hub.
Position Responsibilities:
Programming
Assist to ensure smooth execution of CCEPA events following CCEPA Event Management policies
Attend all CCEPA and CBERN events taking care of venue preparation and closing details
Research potential programming themes and topics as determined by the Board and Program Committee
Identify online resources to promote to the CBERN Network in the Atlantic region through the maintenance of the Atlantic Microsit
Communications
Manage and update CCEPA's website, Twitter, and Facebook accounts
Facilitate the promotion of all CCEPA events and research opportunities
Draft, edit and blog content that covers the five CBERN themes in business ethics
Maintain CCEPA mailing list
Prepare program notices
Research
Create CBERN blog post ideas by searching for news and editorial articles posted on various media sources
Search business ethics news stories, event postings, calls for papers, job opportunities, and other resources of interest to the CBERN network
Administrative
Attend Board and Committee meetings, organize refreshments, take and prepare minutes
Organize and manage files
Organize, prepare and track program budgets
Term of Employment: Annual contract
Qualifications:
University degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
Ability to interface with a public audience in a mature, responsible and professional manner.
Computer and internet literate, with a solid working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to work flex hours
Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humour are definite assets
