Apparatus 2011: Call for Abstracts.

Paper proposals are invited for the 1st annual graduate conference presented by the Science and Technology Studies program and the Institute for Science and Technology Studies, at York University: "Apparatuses; Matter; Materialities." The conference is to be held May 20-22, 2011.

William T. Stearn Essay Prize, deadline 30 June 2011.

The Society for the History of Natural History would like to announce the details of the 2011 W. T. Stearn Student Essay Competition. Please see attached poster.

The Council of the Society is keen that news of this competition be disseminated to the widest possible student audience with interests in the history of natural history.
