- Canada Science and Technology Museum
This is the largest museum of its kind in Canada. Its mandate is to facilitate understanding of the relationships between science, technology and society.

- Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology
This is a renowned research institute offering graduate studies and undergraduate courses in HPS. IHPST hosts bimonthly colloquia and at least one conference a year.
- The Rotman Institute of Philosophy
Created in 2008, and located in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario, this institute is dedicated to the study of ethical and epistemological issues arising out of contemporary science.
- Novel Tech Ethics
Located at Dalhousie University, NTE contains a dynamic team of researchers from a variety of disciplines studying the ethical implications of novel technologies in such areas as the neuro- or genetic sciences.
- Science Journalism Research Group
This research group is focused on issues surrounding the public communication of controversial science (e.g., gene therapy).

Located at Dalhousie University, this multidisciplinary group of researchers use a science and technology studies conceptual framework and multi-site ethnographic methodology to understand the emergence of scientific and cultural facts. Institute for Science, Society and Policy
Recently founded in 2010 at the University of Ottawa (UO), the Institute for Science, Society and Policy (ISSP) carries out research, teaching and public outreach on key issues associated with emerging technologies. The ISSP advocates that any intelligent discussion over the governance, benefits, risks and ethics of new applications of science can only be achieved if the front end – innovation – is tied together with the back end – the social implications.
